LOCAL AND PERSONAL
OUR LATNAT BEAR CHARM.-- A few weeks
ago. We gave an account of a Bear chase,
which took place fhtn the preinised of Mr.
Jacob Barnhart., two miles east of Bellefonte.
Since that lime we luid the pleasure of par
ticipating in another, no less exciting% ev
ery particular. About 3 o'clock in 'We
morning of the 21st ult., a company of ve
terans assembled together. and Cooic every

mints," which for several weeks have been
committing unprecedented depredations on
the cornfields of the neighborhood. The
company divided into several parties, and
thoroughly searched the woods in the imme
diate vicinity. But reporter proceeded to
the scene of warlike demonstrations, mount

armed in a manner that would have done
honor to any hostile emergency. To—tuty
