tion, and could not 'lave been occupied with
out having been almost entirely re-built.
There was no enemy present, and tho sole
object Capt. Fremont had in view Was.to
prevent the frdm.nsing the guns
at any future time. There leas no risk or
personal danger inctirr«l, and the service
would be well paid for at lifty dollars.
