The managers refused the' de mands of the workmen, consequently no work bs beeu done for the last week. On Monday last the strike took the form of a riot—clmbs, stones, pistols and different kinds! of fire arms being culled into requisition. A mess eager was sent to Ilollidaysburg for the Sheriff and a posse af men to arrest the rioters, and yesterday 'Tuesday) morning the Juniata Rifles, Capt. Loyd, and the Hpllidaysburg Fencib’cs, Capt. Manier, were ordered, by Judge Taylor, to the teat of war.
