At thb Academy of Music Meyerbeer's grand
opera, of liobert le Viable will be performed
J1" ejenlnjj for the first time In English. Mr.
Carl Formes will appear in his great role of
Bertram," and the remaining characters will
be represented by Messrs. Castle, Ilowell, Chat
terson, Mrs. Bernard, and Miss Emma Howson.
At thb Walwtjt Boaclcault's drama of The
Colleen Lawn will be represented this evening,
idth Mr. Harry Watfclns as "Myles na Coppa
leen" and Mrs. Watkins as "Eily O'Connor. fi
At ths Arch Miss Kate Reignolds will ap
pear this evening as 'Richelieu" in the play of
The Youthful Days of Richelieu, and as Kath
leen" In the drama of Kathleen Mavourneen.
At tub Chesnut the laughable comedy of
Saratoga will be performed this evening.
On Monday Mr. Davenport, who has been
playing with great success in New York and
Boston, will make his reappearance In the part
of "Sir Giles Overreach."
At thb Musrdm, Ninth and Arch streets,
Mr. Robert McWade will personate "Rip Van
Winkle" this evening. The double-headed baby
is on exhibition day and evening.
At thb American the Japanese will perform
some of their most wonderful feats this evening.
The Concert to be given by Mrs. De Barros
to-morrow evening at Musical Fund IlallJ pro
mises to be a very enjoyable entertainment. A
fine programme will be presented, and Mrs. De
Barros will be assisted by several popular per
formers. Thb Aht Male Singing Society will give
their third soiree at Musical Fund Hall this
evening. An unusually attractive programme
is announced.
John Collins, the celebrated Irish comedian
and vocalist, has just concluded very successful
engagements in Montreal and Quebec, and is
announced to appear at Niblo's, New York. He
will produce Paul Clifford, a piece that was
written especially to suit the peculiar qualifica
tions of Mr. Collins. It will be brought out in
great splendor, new scenery, etc.

"Cornplanttr Tract, ' situated la Cornplanter town
ship, Venango county. State of Pennsylvania,
bounded and described as follows, viz. :
Beginning at a white oak, the westerly corner,
thence by land of Hamilton McCllntock (now
McCllntock OH Company), north 89 degrees, east
173 8-10 perches to a pout; thence south nfteen de
grees east 110 8-10 perches to a whtte oak; thence
east H 9 6-10 perches to a hickory; thence Bouth 6T
perches to a post; thence by land of Thomas An
derson south 60 degrees, west 96 perches to a post ;
thence north 60X degrees west 832 perches to a
post; thence 43 degrees east 66 perches to a wi.lte
oak, the place of beginning, containing 220 acres,
more or less, and being the same land now owned
by the "Cornplanter Oil Company." The sale will
be made subject to any and all existing leases of any
part of the said premises, of which the following Is
believed to be a correct list:

more or less.
Leases to John Munhall and others, covering
about 14 acres more or less.
Lease to H. M. Good and others, covering about 8
acres more or less.
Lase to Mechllng, Moore & Sutton, covering

steam suction aud force pump, used for forcing
water from the creek to the high portions of the
tract for the supply of engines, and for collecting
oil from the various wells (through underground

Nine steam engines and 5 boilers; of engine
and boiler from lo to IB-horse power; X of 890 feet
of 2-inch tubing and sucker rods ; or 816 feet of
g-inch casing ; 8100 feet tubing in wells ; 885 feet 8
abd 8 inch casing In wt-lis; lou feet 5-lnch casing
in wells; 289 feet 5 -inch casing not In wells.

water pipe; about 7000 feet 2 Inch tubing used for
oil and water pipe; about soo feet inch pipe used

The personal property is in good working order.
and most of the engines and boilers are nearly new.
The Oil creek and Allegheny tfauroad passes
through the tract. The producing wells on the pro
perty are connected by pipe lines with one central
Iron tank, from which point the o'l is ihrowu by
steam pump into the large iron tank near and abovn
the railroad track, where it can be readily ladened
on the cars.
The land interest is in receipt or about 18 barren
of oil per day, 6 barrels of which are from wells ope
rated Dytne company, ana o received as royalty
from leases.
There are eight small tenant houses, blacksmith
shop, cooper shop, carpenter shop, stable, etc, upon
the tract, and a lot of blacksmith and carpenter
teols. The whole real estate and personal property
will be sold together, thus ottering a rare opportu
nity to those desiring to control a large tract or tana,
with first-class racllliles for developments, as about
100 acres of the property remain to be tested.
