J There is a free current of funds flowing ia every variety of channel to-day, this belnjr the usual period for annual settlements and the payment of Interest on bonds. The preparations lor these payments have been going on for most of the past month, and now that the pay ing tt period has arrived, we may expect a gradual ease in the money market, with a better supply of loanable funds. To-day there is an interruption to the borrowing and lending bnsiness, and nearly all the activity noticed is in paying out funds. Rates for all classes of loans are almost nominal. At the Stock Board there was a steady feel in p, the principal feature being Reading. Sales of City Os, new bonds, at 101. Large sales of Reading were made at 51 81. Camden and Amboy sold at 117X, an advance, and Pennsylvania at Gi, an advance. 51 was bid forMinehill and 27 for Philadelphia and Erie. The balance of the market was steady but In active. Sales of Farmers' and Mechanics' Bank at VZX. j-Tbe National Bank of North Providence, R I., has subscribed, through Jay Caoke te Co to-day, for 160,000 of the new five per cent Government bonds.
