we can arrive at the exact terms of the dogma
as finally approved by the Council, but below
we give lis terms as received by mail In this
feountry several weeks ago. The following Is

n March last:
Chapter to be added to the decree unon the
Primacy of the Roman Pontiff, to the effect
that the Roman Pontiff cannot err in the definl-
ion or matters of faith or morals.
The Holy Roman Church possesses the su
preme and complete primacy and principality
..w uw uunvioai VAkUUIli; VUUltUf WU1UU U
verily and humbly acknowledges to have re
vived with the plontltude of the pewer of the
iora nimscii, m the person oi ot. 1'eter, the
'rince of Apostles, of whom the Roman Pontiff
3 the successor.
And as, above all things, it behooves it to
lake clear the truth of the faith, all questions
hich may arise upon matters of faith must be
if ArmtnnH ho t a in1(rmAiit nnnlnrv flint -v V i-
ise the words ot the Lord Jesus Christ ( Ta es
'etrtis, etc.) would be disregarded.
That which has been set forth upon this point
:s been proved by the results as in the Apos
lic See, the Catholic religion has always been
reserved immaculate, and its doctrine has
.ways been maintained at its.fullcst (celebrata).
Consequently, we inculcate, with the concur-
nce oi me Holy council, and we define as a
gma of faith, that, thanks to the Divine as
tance, it is that the Roman Pontiff, of whom
was 6aid in the person of St. Peter by our same
rd Jceus Christ, "I have prayed for thee, '
c, cannot err when, acting in his quality as
preme teacher of all Christians, he defines
hat the Universal Church must hold in matters
f faith and morals, and that the prerogative of
fterrancy or infallibility extends over the same
natters to which the infallibility of the Church
i applicable. But If any one. should dare
'hich may God forbid! to controvert our pre
cnt definition, let him know that he departs
rom the truth of the faith.
I The following is the text of the Schema of
lifallibility, in five canons:
tl. If any oae should say that the episcopal
mir of the Roman Church is not the true and
u Infallible chair of Bleseed Peter, or that it
s not been divinely chosen bv God as the
fst 6olid, indefectible, and incorruptible rock
tne whole Christian Church, let him be ana-
ema.
II. If any one should say that there exists in
lc world another Infallible chair of the truth
the Gospel of Christ our Lord, distinct and
arate from the chair of the Blessed Peter, let
ii be anathema.
II. If anyone 6hould deny that the divine
wisferium of the chair of Blessed Peter is
oeseary to the true wuy of eternal salvation
- all men, whether unfaithful or faithful,
iether laymen or bishoos. let him be anathema.
IV. If any one 6hould say that each Roman
kntiff, legitimately elected, is not by Divine
kht the successor of Blessed Peter, even in
ft eift of infallibility of maaisterium. and
fcould deny to any one of them the prerogative
lniammmy lor tcacmng tne ciiurcn tne Word
God pure I rom all corruption and error, let
m be anathema.
If any one should say that general coun-
s are established by God in the Church as a
wer of feeding the Divine flock in the word
iaitn superior to tne Koman Pontiff, or equal
him, or necessary by Divine institution in
ler that the magislerium of the Roman
hop should be preserved infallible, let him be
athema.

he fifth national annual camp meeting of the
E. Church opened at Oakington, near Havre
Grace, Maryland, on Tuesday, as stated in
e Telegraph. Four "national camps" have
ceded this, and the experience from them
libtless contributes to the attractiveness and
ieral interest of Oakington. A correspondent
the Baltimore American, writing from the
bp yesterday, says:
he splendid tented grove contains about
htv acres. The ground is beautifully situated
the midst of an elevated rolling tract of coun-
, neaitny, excellent shade, ana abundantly
plied with pure spring water. The water
angements are surprisingly complete, on the
n of supplying a city from various tanks,
en the entire land is tunnelled, so that rain
brms of many days could not affect the com-
t ot tne inhabitants, ine main stand is com
ment to seat 250 preachers. Immediately in
tat and above the'speaker is the motto, "Holl-
Y& to the Lord;" on the right, "Behold the
bnb of God, who taketh away tne sins of the
rid; on tne lett. "ine mood ot Jesus (Jnrist.
P Son, cleanseth us from all sin." There is
o an extra stand, a tabernacle, praying tents
U boarding tents. . The auditorium will com-
Jtably accommodate seven thousand persons.
I- judgment is that this glorious afternoon wit-
t eed six hundred tents, and Hundreds of active
ids are adding hourly to the number.
ntev. M. L. Sinyser, President of the associa-
lun, heartily received all the preachers at his
vn tent, and, as no contributes 10 ineir speedy
cation in the camp, had a quiet, kind word for
ery one. About the hour ot noon the dinner
lis announced the readiness for supply of the
nner man." The fine tents, conducted on the
European plan," and In excellent style,
lorded accommodations considered superior
r camp meetings. All dined quietly and Hap
ly, ana there appeared to be but one mind and
art pervading the entire assemblage.
At i o'clock the bell was first sounded for
e dedicatory services at the stand, and people
eked irom their tents, tne preachers ascended
e spacious platform, and Immediately com
menced singing an opening hymn with chorus,

ntlnued by reading the hymn, "there is a
untaln filled with blood." This was sung in a
K'le of pure devotion and power by the large
sembiage. When singing tne tuira verse a
tinkle ot ram descended; still they sung, and
a Throne of Grace was addressed by Dr. In-
lip. The rain now descended in a shower, and
ntlnued so mat it, was aeemea pruaeni to
se the public exercises. The benediction was
onounced, but in a few moments the clouds
Issed over, and the indications were more ta'
yrable.
The ladies and gentlemen were now in com
nies returning to the stand witn tne camp
at rendered with a power and feeling which
II long be remembered by those present. 1 he
in again descended, and many of the ladles
ailed themselves or tne preaeners piattorm
ie large structure was well filled, but the
mpers, nothing daunted, continued to sing
urmingly.
