The following de tails of the disorder in the Northeastern Arrondissements are gleaned from the news papers: Kochetort was arrested as fie was on the point of entering a political meeting, in the Rue de i landre, running from Belleville to La villette. Although there was a great crowd of people present, and mainly of his own partisans, be made no resistance and no appeals to the crowd. BECETTION OF THE NEWS. As soon as the arrest was made known to the meeting the wildest scenes occurred. Gustave Flonrens, who presided, rose ex citedly, drew a sword, fired his revolver, and declared tnat tne insurrection had begun. The meeting broke np in disorder. BAKBICADIXQ. The crowd, tinder the leadership of Flon rens, immediately proceeded to barricade the strcota. This was accomplished without loss or time, by the appropriation of omnibuses and other vehicles from stables in the neigh borhood. J. he commissary ot Police, who accompanied the guard charged with the duty of arresting Rochefort, was forced along witn tne crowa and uaaiy maltreated. The district lying between the Rue Faubourg da xempie ana tne loriincauons at LA villette, a distance of about two miles, was in posses sion oi ine noiers. ATTACK ON A BARBICADE KEPITLHKD. At 1 1 o clock a body of police charged the barricade in the Rue Faubourg du Temple, and attempted to carry it, but were repulsed. line of the Commissioners was dangerously wounded, and one policeman killed. At other places barricades had been erected, but were not defended. THE MILITAKY CALLED OCT. The military are now out in force, but thus far have made no use of their firearms, al though the insurgents have. The latter had pillaged the armories, and in that way ob tained their weapons, neveral policemen were wounded with these in the skirmishes in the morning. NTJMFJIOU8 ARRESTS. A great number of arrests have been made, and at a a. jvi. over inree hundred persons had been imprisoned in the barracks. Many or these were mere boys, all armed, and most of them under the influence of liquor. THE LEADEB OF THE MOB. It is reported that Gustave Flonrens. who is looked upon as a leader of the rioters, has been arrested, but this is not confirmed. He is said to have announced to his mother. before going from home to the meeting, that if Rochefort were arrested she probably would never see mm again. At this hour all is quiet. THE BIOT DIHCUBHED IN THE CORFS. Paris, Feb. 8 C P. M. In the Corps Legislatif to-day, M. Keratry, one of the Liberal Deputies, demanded to know why isocneiort was not arrested before he started for a political meeting where five thousand persons were assembled. It was not neces sary that this meeting should be thus dis turbed, and the people who were participating were aroused to violence. The act of the Government was a provocation te the dis turbances which took place. A member of the Ministry explained that the authorities had refrained from arresting itocneiort at tne unamoers to avoid the scan dal to which his arrest at such a place would have given rise. He asserted that the friends of Rochefort were prepared to trial- tha demonstration which they had made, and upon this i act tne Aiinutry would rest the respon sibility of what had taken place, and the country would judge between the Ministry and the rioters. He said there need be no necessity for the people to fear, the Govern ment was animated by the best sentiments toward them. The Minister of the Interior followed with the assertion that the friends of Rochefort had determined on a demonstration, had be been arrested at the Chambers. M. Olhvier praisod the conduct of the police in dealing with the disorders, and said they had aoted with prudence and humanity. TRANO.CILLITY KEBTOBED. Paris, Feb. 810 P. M.
