in their nature, but the symptom of which are not suffl

any particular head. At a general rule the; arite from a
ffeneral debilitj of the whole organization, but thoir pri

brisk vital action in the stomach and lirer. Stimulate and
tone the relaied dlgostiTs and seorctire organs, and bodily
ease, health, and rigor will follow the treatment. Among
all the medicines which hare been recommended as con
duolre to this end, none has been administered with suoh
uniform and entire suoooss as Hostrtteb's Stomch Bitters.
Its ingredients were selooted from the vegetable king
dom, originally, with the view to the inrlgoration of the
-physique and the constitution, and also for their anti-bili
ous and slightly laxative properties. Twenty odd years of
-experience has proved that these horbal restoratives were
wisely ohosen and have been judiciously apportioned In
this celebrated preparation. Mot only as a speoifio for in
digestion and all kindred oomplafnts, but as a houeehold
remedy for all the minor ailmentt inoident to humanit y, it
has obtained a rapntation, based on unlinpeaohuble testi

or officinal medicine in ue.
' At th Stork of Mr. A. S. Robin hon, No. 910 Ohesnut
street, a large collection of Superb Oil Paintings and
other Works of Art is now on free exhibition, preparatory
to their sale by auotion on tho 15th, 16th, and 17th instant,
without reserve. Among the many really fine paintings
whioh are now on exhibition at that store we notioe a rare
copy of the celebrated Madonna of the Choir, whioh is a
fao-slnule in color and size of Raphael's great pioture in
the Petti palace. There is also a carefully copied oil paint
ig,by Gustavo Reinhardt,f rom Oorreggio's original pioture
of Mary Magdalene. Near it is an elegantly finished ori
ginal painting, the Lover's Bouquet, by Emile Nocel, of
Paris. A humorous and spirited oil painting after Land
aeer, of David and Goliath, is sure to attract the attention
of the visitor. A Landscape, with Chickens, by F. Van
Severdonk, of Berlin, is very elaborately and carefully
finished. Dumbarton Castle, on the Clyde, is a finely
painted picture in te English school. . de Bourg
Richards is represented by a viow of the Bead Waters of
the Schuylkill, which is one of the finest expressions of
that celebrated artist. Besides this great collection of
paintings, there are also to be sold some elegant Dresden
Ensmels, painted photographs, all sizes, and exquisite
impressions of Knglish engravings. This is the finest col
lection whioh has ever been offered to the public. The
plotures are all in handsome frames, and are just the
things forObristmas presents.
