I first became acquainted with Oliver (Albert) Rodcuberg at his boarding-house in Altoona, In September last; we slept together and boarded it the. same house; soon after 1 got acquaiuted wiih Mm, he told me that Pcrghtal had money; bo raid that he had slept there' twice; ho asked me to go along and stay outside, and said I need "not know wh;it ho did inside; we came dowu ou the cars on Monday evening from Altoona, and walked from Huntingdon by way of Mc.Cou iiflbtown to Pcrghtal' that ovoulng; and slept ail night lu bis l Pcrghtal') stable loft; on Tues day we walked over tho neighborhood and Inquired for work, and staid all nitrht in a barn iurtbar down the road; on Wednesday morniiig we came to Huntingdon, and I did not want to (ro back (this was on the morning of thomurdor); Oliver (Albert) said If I did not go back he would shoot nie: we started back after dinner nd walked to Pcrghtar, but went to tho Lroad Top to avoid getting there too soon; we stopped while ut Councllstown station, and a while at t'lfuj.-n:t Grove; wo reached Porjhtal's a'tuat, 7 eVloctc I stayed on the railroad and Oliver illltti) wiU fo Uie Jftouaej 1 heard only one shot: the wind was blowing very hard.
