Asa Khodes, of lliclnnond, Vt., whose safe was
I so mysteriously robbed ot nearly i?S(MM) three
weeks since, recovered the money in rather a
strange way at ureenheld a few days ago. It
I scums that while the agents of French's Circus
were in the latter town making arrangements
for an exhibition, they found among the robes of
their buggy between 7(100 and SSiKK) in money
and notes, some of which were drawn in the
name of Mr. Khodos. A telegram was imme
diately sent to Mr. Khodos, who went down to
Kiroenfield and identified his property, every
I dollar of the amount stolen being recovered. It
is supposed the burglar placed his plunder in
this odd place to escape deletion, while the cir-
Icus men were at Richmond, a lew days after the
robberv.

The Democrats of California are making

posed to Chinese suffrage, in any form.

The uuestion of annexing Western Florida

on the re.-ult until the Democratic ollicers of
election have made their returns in black and
