This he wished to deposit with the company, not only tor cafe keeping, but four ptr cent, iutereft. Instead of depositing the money, he pave a check for the amount, drawn to tbe order of Mr. Harrison, I'at-hier ol the Dordeutown "Notional Bank, aud alo requested ibat the company should give him in return for his check two certidca'es ol depot-it, each beariug on its face a voucher for one-half of the deposit made. This was done. Afterwards, however, when the company drew on Mr. llarriron for the amount, they learned that he ( Harmon) had no acquaintance with Wadsworth, uud that the latter bad no money deposited in the bank to bis credit. Mr. J. W. Hazleburst, Assistant Secretary of the Com pany, utter receiving th e letter, at once ap peared before Alderman John White and made complaint.
