New Court House. The changes in the new
Court House, designed to improve its acoustic
properties, and furnish greater facilities for
those having occasion to transact business there,
will be completed during the adjournment of
the Court. How far the sounding board will
overcome the most serious objection to the new
room remains to be tested. During the few
days it was in place this week there were no
means of judging of ita effects, as all the win
dows of the court-room were open. It is be
lieved, however, that It will materially improve
the room.
