The funeral was a very laree and im posing one, nnd wbb attended by the Grand Lodge of tbe State of Pennsylvania and a large number of friends and relatives of the much lamented and greatly respected deceased. The funeral service, according to the rites ot the Episcopal Church, were performed at the Church of the Saviour, and also at the grave in Wood land Cemetery, where the interment took place. Impressive Masonic funeral rites were also cele brated over the grave by Deputy Grand Master Kicuard Vaux, asst-ted by the othcers and mem bers ot the Grand Lodce. Mr. Goddard was elected R. W. Grand Master of the Grand Lodee of Pennsylvania in December last, and he tilled that Important and resDonsihle position with great credit to himself and benefit to the Order generally. He was universally beloved, and died greatly regretted. Wiknemoke. The wretched assassin of Mrs. Kagilfon spends his time In hts cell ia what he calls communion with spirit-. The refusal of the Supreme Court to grant him a ne atrial affects him not at all. The determination to rrouggle poison to him, said to have been made by some of his friends, cannot be consummated. Mr. Perkins, the warden of the prison, fore warned of the intention, has taken ample mea sures to frustrate it. Those who are permitted to see the doomed man can do so only in the presence of two incorruptible keepers. Tho only thins; that has seemed to affect him since his imprisonment was his mother's death, but even that impressed him but lor a day or two. He had no expectation of a new trial, and was not at all disappointed when his counsel lulled to obtain It lor him. The latter gentleman still expects to avert the ricnly merited doom im pending over his client. It is due to Winne more to say that as a prisoner he is the very reverse ot troublesome. A Small Chapter op Accidents J. B. Mil lard had his right foot crushed by being run over by a car on the Rjadinsr Railroad, at Port Kennedy. William Miller, aged fourteen years, was also run over by a freight car, at Twenty-first and Maiket streets, tho wheels pasing over both of his feet, causing severe and serious injury. John Itham was severely bruised by falline a distance of fifteen fct, while at work in the new school-houBe at Seventeenth and Wood streets. All of the above were admitted to the Penn sylvania Hospital. The Firemeh'b Riot. A hearing was held on Saturday before R-norder Eneu, In the nbsence of Alderman Beitler, of Alderman Wil liam McMullen, William Barnes, Francis Devttt, George Wellington (alias Tipper Nipper), John Knoken,, Bernard Cailin, J. A little boy named Charles Thompson, sited eight years, fell from the second-story window, at his home, on Swan eon 6treet, near Catnanne, yesterday. The window-sash was up, and the little fellow was leaning with bis head against tbe bowed shut ters, which were tied together.
