Yesterday afternoon a dumb-waiter, belonging to the manufactory ol Jones, White & Co., in Ledger place, gave way While descending from the fourth story, and was precipitated to the lower floor. There were on the plattorm Augustus Lamat, Albert Wagner. John Wale, William Ilemmelsbach, John Josephs, and August Luthter. The first named was an adult, and the balance were all boys, VboBe aires rane from thirteen to eighteen years. Hemmelsbuch and Josephs were taken to the Hospital. llemmelsbHch had his leg fcrokm, and Josephs was injured about the head. The balance received injuries ln their feet. The accident was caused by eome loose planks, which were on the dumb-waiter, be coming entangled In the fixtures. The sufferers were all doing well at a late hour last night. A German, name unknown, was thrown trora a hay wagon yt sierday, by the horses running away, in Untchimon street. Twentieth Ward, and was terribly cut In the head. He was car ried to St. Joseph's Hospital in an Insensible condition. The Third Robber in Custody. Last even ing Detective George H. Smith arrived in this city from New York, havintr In custody Eugene Ackerman, alias Rickerman, charged with being one of the parties who roobed the fur store of Messrs. Womratb.
