exploded yesterday morning, and badly scalded

of Trbrb Workmen. About 2 o'clock yesterday
afternoon the scaffolding of a building, which Is
being repaired at Broad street and Columbia
avenue, gave away and fell to the ground, pre
cipitating three workmen to the pavement One
ot them, named Michael McCarty, was severely
Injured, and was conveyed to St. Jcseph's Hos
pital; another, named Andrew Allen, was hurt
about the hips and head, and was taken home;
and the other, named Samuel Wilson, a colored
juan, was severely injured about the thighs,

putting forth new efforts.
