The boat races ou the Charles river were among the most attractive features of the celebration yesterday. The single scull race was won by Walter Brown, of Portland, who beat four competitors; time, 17 minutes and 10 seconds; distance, two miles. Tbe double scull race was won by John A. Andrew, ot Boston, iu 27 minutes and 49 seconds; distance three miles. The four-oared race was won by Tlielia, of St. Johns, N. B. Time, 20 minutes 39 seconds; dis tance three miles.
