    Onr Iron-Clad Meet
The recent performances of tbe monitor
Monadnock, while on bcr voyage to the Pacitic,
have , been regarded with much Interest.
Although there are but two more vessels of her
claas In our navy ( the Miantonomati and the
Aqamenlicus), wo have forty-sexen iron-clads of
diflerent clause") laid up in ordinary at the
various naval stations, while there are filtecn
Dtiildtnir, among whieh Is the Dundcrberr).
The majority of the vessels laid up In ordinary
were In service during? the lato war, and conld
be placed in seagoing order In a lew weeks, if
required. Tbe iron-clnds in commission and
perlornnncr active service are the Monadnock,
now In the Pacific: the Miantonomali, on her
way to Eastport, Maine; and the ftptando, at
Charleston, Bouth Carolina. The lollowtng Is

persons, party cr parties, having received irom the
thief Commissioner lof Highways, in accordance
wuh section ono of an ordinance approved S ptom
ber 16th, 1866, of which this is a supplement, a

ling bouse, store, warehouse or factory, of the cor
rect number to which such property is entitled; and
