The managers, anticipating the difficul
ty of obtaining calh for the whole, have re

It may be observed, that the value of
prizes lottery will be more than dou
ble the amount of all the tickets ; for 350
lots, would at their average estimation, pro
duce at lead 15,750 dollars ; whiltl, accord
ing to the present proposals, the sum ob
tained for thera will be only 7,00 c dollars.

during this winter, of Morgan J. Rbett,
president of the board of managers, no. 177,
south Second-street, Philadelphia ; who will
receive proposals and plans for the treftion
of the building. It is intended to be of brick
or Hone ; its (ituation on the summit of a
gradual rising eminence, commanding an ex
tensive profpe&oi thefurrounding country ;
an observatory to be on its top.
