A PROSPEROUS STATE.— Georgia,the
Empire State of the South, is making
lapid strides in material aad moral im
provement. Manufacturing, the me
chanic arts and agriculture are all
ft lurishing as never before. Out of
her fifty- two counties forty-eight have
given majorities in favor of the local
prohibition of the liquor traffic, which
proves that sobriety ai d good morals
keep full pace with material prosperi
ty. It is a noteworthy fact, too, that
Georgia is a staunch democratic state.
