II A I R VIGO R,
FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE HAIR
: THE GREAT DESIDERATUM OF THE
AGE.
A dressing which is at once agreeable, healthy,
! and effectual for preserving the hair. Faded or
; gray hair is soon restored to it 3 original color and
the gloss and freshness of youth. Thin hair is
thickened, falling hair checked, and baldness of
-1 ten, though not always, cured by its use. Noth
j ing can restore the hair where the follicles are de
stroyed, or the glands atrophied and decayed.
But sueh as remain can be saved for usefulness by
this application. Instead of foaling the hair with
a pasty sediment, it will keep it clean and vigor
ous. Its occasional use will prevent the hair
from turning gray or falling off, and consequently
prevent baldness. Free from those deleterious
substances which make some preparations danger
ous and injurious to the hair, the Vigor can only
benefit but not harm it. If wanted merely for a
HAIR DRESSING,
nothing else can be found so desirable. Contain
ing neither oil nor dye, it does not soil white
cambric, and yet lasts longer on the hair, giving
I it a rich glossy lustre and a grateful perfume.

4 YFit's CATHARTIC PILLS,
For all the purposes of a Laxative Medicine.
{< Perhaps no one Medicine is so universally re
quired by everybody as a cathartic, nor was e~er
any before so universally adopted into use. in ev
, err country aud among all classes, as this mild
but efficient purgative Pill. The obvious reason
is. that it is amort reliable and far more effectual
; remedy than any other. Those who have tried it.
• know that it cured them ; those who have not,
know that it cures their neighbors and friends,
and all know that what it does once it does always
—that it never fails through any fault or neglect
of its composition We have thousands upon thou
sands of certificates of their remarkable cures of
the following c.xnplaints. but such cures are known
in every neighborhood, and we need not publish
them Adapted to ail ages and conditions in all
| ciimates; containing neither ealomel OT any dele
terious drug, they may be taken with safety by
' anybody. Their sugar coating preserves them ev
| er fresh and makes teem pleasant to take, while
] being purely vegetable no harm can arise from
their use in any quantity.
They operate by their powerful influence on the
internal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate
it into hea'thv action—remove the obstructions of
, the stomach, Uwels. liver, and other organs of tha
body, restoring tbeir irregular action to health,
and by correcting, wnerever they exist, such
derangements as are the first origin of disease.
Minute directions are given in the wrapper on
the box, for the following complaints, which these
' Pills rapidly cure :
For DYSPEPSIA or INDIGESTION, LISTLBSSNESS,
LANGUOR an d Loss of Appetite, they should be
taken moderately to stimulate the stomach and
restore its healthy tone and action.
For LIVER COMPLAINT and its various symptoms,
BiLLiors HEADACHE. SICK HEADACHE. JAUNDICE
or Green SICKNESS. Bilious Colic and Bilious Fe
ver- they should be judiciously taken for each
case, to correct the diseased action or remove the
i obstructions which cause it.
For DYSENTERY or DIARF.HCEA, but one mild
dose is generally required.
For RHEUMATISM. GOUT, GRAVEL. PALPITATION
• F THE HEART. PAIN IS THE SIDE, BA- K and
Loixs, they should be continuously taken, as re
! quired to change the diseased action of the ?ys>-
: tern. With such change those complaints diaap
-1 pear.
For DP.OPST and DROPSICAL SWELLINGS they
: should be taken in iarge and frequent tl ses to
produce the effect of a drastic puree. *
For SUPPRESSION a large dose should be taken
a. it pr inces the desired effect by sympathy.
As DINNKP. PILL, take one or two R ills to pro
mote digestion and relieve the stomach.
An occasional d-se stimulates the stomach and
b'.wels into healthy action, restore? the appetite,
and invigorates the v.-tem. Hence it is often ad
vantageous where no serious derangement exists.
One who feels tolerably well, often finds that a dose
of these PILLS makes him feel decidedly better,
from their cleansins and renovating effect on the
digestive apparatus.

4 YEIT'S SABSAPARPLLA,
FOR PURIFYING THE BLOOD.
The reputation this excellent medicine enjoys
is derived from its cures, many of which are truly
marvellous. Inveterate cases of Scrofulous dis
ease. where the system seemed saturated with
corruption, havo been purified and cared by it
Scrofulous affections and disorders, which were
aggravated by the scrofulous contamination unnl j
they were painfully afflicting, have been rai; 'al
ly cured in such great numbers in almost every
section of the country, that the public scarcely
need to be informed of its virtues or uses.
Scrofulous poison is one of the most destructive
enemies of our race. Often, this unseen and nn- !
fell tenant of the organism undermines the con
stitution. ar. i invites the attack of enfeebling or
fatal diseases, without exciting a suspicion of its
presence. Again, it seems to breed infection 1
throughout the body, an! then, on some favora
ble occasion, rapidly develops into one or other of
its hideous forms, either on the surface or among
the vitals In the latter, taberele* may be sud
denly deposited in the lungs or heart, or tumors
formed in the liver, or it sh ws its presence by e
ruptions on the skin, or foul ulcerations on some
part ot-the b dy. Hence the occasional use of a
bottle of this Sarssparil'a is advisable, even when
no arrive syinpt uis of disease appear. Persons
afflicted with the I li-wing coin plaints generally
find immediate relief, and. at lengrh. cure, by the
use of this aarsaparilla St Anthony s Fire, Rose
or Erysipelas. Tetter. Salt Rheum. Scald Head
Ringworm, Sore Eyes. Sore Ears, and other erup
tions or visible forms of Scrofulous disease. Also '
in the more concealed f rms. as Dyspepsia. Drop
sy. Heart Disease Fits. Epilepsy. Neuralgia, and ,
the various Ulceraas affections cf the muscular
and nervous systems.
Syphilis or Venereal and Mercurial Diseases arc

subduing these obstinate maladies by auy medi
cine. But long continued use of this medicine
will curt the complaint. Leucorrhoea or W sites.
Uterine I Ice rations and Female Diseases, are
commonly soon relieved and ultimately cured by
its purifying and invigorating effect. Minute Di
rections for each case ure ! mud in our Almanac.

the blood, yield quickly to it, as also Liver Com- ;
