HAIRV I A O R,
FOU THE RENOVATION OF THE JIAIR
TIIE GREAT DESIDERATUM OF THE
AGE.
A dressing which is at once agreeable, healthy,
and effectual for preserving the hair. Faded or
gray hair is goon restored to its original color and
the gloss and freshness of youth. Thin hair is
thickened, falling hair checked, and baldness of
ten, though not always, cured by its use. Noth
ing can restore the hair where the follicles are de
stroyed, or the glands atrophied and decayed.
Rut such as remain can be saved ior usefulness by
this application. Instead of fouling the hair with
a pasty sediment, it will keep it clean and vigor
ous. It 3 occasional use will prevent the hair
from turning gray or falling off, and consequently
prevent baldness. Free from those deleterious
substances which make some preparations danger
ous and injurious to the hair, the Vigor can only
benefit but not harm it. If wanted merely for a
HAIR DRESSING,
nothing else can be found so desirable. Contain
ing neither oil nor dye, it does not soil white
cambric, and yet lasts longer on the hair, giv'ng
it a rich glossy lustro and a grateful perfume.

A YER'S CATHARTIC PIIAJi,
For all the purposes of a Laxative Medicine.
Perhaps no one Medicine is so universally re
quired by everybody as a cathartic, nor was cer
any before so universally Adopted into use, jn ev
ery country and among all classes, r.s this mild
but efficient purgative Pill. The obvious reason
is, that it is a more reliable and far more effectual
remedy than any other. Those who have tried it,
know that it cured them; those who have not,
know that it cures their neighbors and friends,
and all know that what it does once it docs always
—that it never fails through any fault or neglect
of its composition We have thousands upon thou
sands of certificates of their remarkable cures of
the following complaint*, but such cures are known
in every neighborhood, and we need not publish
them Adapted to all ages and conditions in all
climates ; containing neither calomel or any dele
terious drug, they may be taken with safety by
anybody. Their sugar coating preserves them ev
er fresh and makes them pleasant to take, while
being purely vegetable no harm can arise from
their use in any quantity.
They operate by their powerful influence on the
internal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate
it into healthy action—remove the obstructions of
the stomach, bowels, liver, and other organs of tho
body, restoring their irregular aetion to health,
and by correcting, wherever they exist, such
derangements as are the first origin of disease.
Minute directions are given in the wrapper on
the box. for the following complaint*, which these
Pills rapidly cure :
For DYSPEPSIA or INDIGESTION, LISTLKSSXESS,
LANGUOR and Loss of Appetite, they should be
taken m derately to stimulate ihe stomach and
restore its healthy tone and action.
For Liven COMPLAINT ant its various symptoms.
BILLIOI S HEADACHE, SICK HEADACHE, JAUNDICE
or Green SICKNESS, Bilious Colic and Bilious Fe
vers, they should be judiciously -taken for caeh
ease, to correct the diseased action or remove the
obstructions which cause it.
For DYSENTERY or DIARRIHEA, but one mild
dose is generally required.
For KutSl SIATISJt, (ioLT, GF.AVKL, PALPITATION
OF THE HEART. PAIN IN THE SIDE. BACK and
LOINS, they ,-houl 1 he continuously taken, as re
quired. to change the diseased action of the -ys
tcm. With such change those complaints disap
pear.
For DROPSY an 1 DROPSD AL SWELLINGS they
should be taken in large and frequent dosss to
produce the effect of a drastic purge.
For SUPPRESSION a large dose should be taken
as it produces the desired effect by sympathy.
As a DINNER PILL, take oae or two pills to pro
mote digestion and relieve the stomach.
An occasional dose stimulates the stomach and
bowels into healthy action, restores the appetite,
and invigorates the system. Hence it is often ad
vantageous where no serious derangement exists.
One who feels tolerably well, often finds that a dose
of these PILLS makes him feel deei tedly better,
from their cleansinj and renovating effect on the
digestive apparatus.

YEB'S SAR3APA KI.LLA,
FOR PURIFYING THE BLOOD.
The reputation this excellent me lielae enj->ys,
is derived from i*s cures. gmjofvUrh ere tr-Oy
marvcllous. Inveterate cases of Scrofulous tlis
asa, where tho system seemed saturated with
corruption, hav - been purified and cured by it.
Scrofulous affection* and disorders, which wen
aggravated by the scrofulous contaminati n until
they were pai'ilully afflicting, have been radical
ly cured in such great numbers in almost every
section of the country, that the public srarcoly
need to be informed of its virtues or uses.
Scrofulous poison is one ot the most destructive
enemies of--ur race. Often, this unseen and un
felt tenant of the organism undermines the con
stitution, and invites the attack of enfeebling or
fatal diseases, without exciting a suspicion of its
presence. Again, it seems to breed infection
throughout the b - ly, and then, on sotno favora
ble <K-casior,, rapidly develops into one or other of
its hideous forms, either on the aurtuce or among
the vitals. In the latter, tubercles may bo sud
denly deposited in tho lungs or heart, or tumors
formed in the liver, ov it shows its presence by e
ruptions on the skiu. or foal ulcerations on some
part ot the body. Ilence the occasional use of a
bottle of this Sarsaparilla is advisable, even when
no active symptoms of disease appear. Persons
afflicted with the following complaints generally
find immediate relief, an-i, at leugth. cure, by tbc
useof this Sarsaparilla : St. Anthony's Fire. R-.-.-c
or Erysipelas, Tetter, Salt Rheum, Scald Head,
Ringworm, Sore Eyes, Sore Ears, and other erup
tions or visible forms of Scrofulous disease. Also
in the more concealed forms, as Dyspepsia, Drop
sy, Heart Disease, Fits. Epilepsy, Neuralgia, and
the various Ulcerous affections of the muscular
and nervous systems.
Syphilis or Venereal and Mercurial Diseases are
cured by it, though a long time is required for
subduing these obstinate maladies by any medi
cine. But long continued use of this medicine
will curt the complaint. Leucorrhooa or Writes,
Uterine Ulcerations and F'emale Diseases, are
commonly soon relieved and ultimately ourel by
its purifying and invigorating effect. "Minute Di
rections for each esse arc K-uud in our Almanac,
supplied gratis. Rheumatism and G >ut, when
caused by accumu'arioi.Wof extraneous matters in
the blood, yield quickly to it, as also Liver Com
plaints, Torpidity, Congestion or Inflammation of
the Liver, and Jaundice, when arising, as they of
ten do. from the rankling poisons in the blood.
This tiARt!APARILEA -sagreat restorer for tho
strength ar.d vigor of the system. Those who are
Languid and Listless, Despondent, Sleepless, and
troubled with Net vous Apprehensions or F'ears,
or any of the affections symptomatic of Weakness,
will find iuimeJiate relief and convincing evi
dence of its restorative pow-er upon trial.

Cough, Bronchitis, Asthma,
and Consumption.
Probably never before in the whole history f
medicine, has anything won so widely anis . l i
ly upon the confidence of mankind, as this ex
lent remedy for pulmonary complaints. Throng!
a long series of years, and among most of the r-s
of men it has risen higher and higher in their es
timation, a" it has become better known. Its uni
form character aul power to care the vari-m- af
fections of the lungs and throat, have made it
known as a reliable protector against them
While adapted to milder forms of disease mi to
young children, it is at the same time the most
effectual remedy that can be given fur incipient
consumption, and the dangerous affections of the
throat and lungs. A-a provision against sullen
attacks of Croup, it should be kept unhand in ev
ery family, and indeed as all are sometime sub
ject to colds and coughs, all cb ul-i be provided
with this antidote for them.
Although settled Consumption is thought in-'
curable, still great numbers of cases where th
disease seemed settled, have been completely
cured, and the patient restore 1 to s mu l health by
the Cherry Pectoral, to complete is its mastery
over the di- -r.lers of the Lungs and Throat, th 11
the most obstinate of them yield to it. When
nothing else could reach them, under the Cherry
Pectoral they subside and disappear.
Singers and public Speakers find great pr > •
tion train it.
Asthma is always relieved au i often wholly cur
ed by it.
Bronchitis is generally cured by taking tho
Cherry Pectoral in small and frequent doses.
So generally are its virtues known that we n- 1
not publish the certificates of them here, or lo
more th in assure tho public that its qualities are
tully maintained.
