" Our only child, about three years of age. was at
tacked by pimples on his forehead. They rapidly spread
until tliey formed a loathsome and virulent sore, which
covered bis face, and actually blinded his eyes for some
days. A skilful physician applied nitrate of silver and
other remedi 'S, without any apparent effect. For fifteen
days we guarded his hands, lest with them he should
tear open ihc festering and corrupt wound which covered
his whole faro. Having tried every thing else we had
any hope from, we began giving your SARSAFAKLLLA,
and applying the iodide of potash lotion, as vou direct.
The sore began to heal when we had given the first bottle,
and was well when we had finished the second. The child's
yelashes, which had come out, grew again, and he is new
as healthy cud f air as any other. The whole neighborhood
predicted that the child must die."
Syphilis and Mercurial Disease.
From J>r. Jtiram Stout, of St. Louis, Hfissotirt.
" I find your SARSAI-ARILLA a more effectual remedy
forthe secondary symptoms of Syphilis and for syphilitic
disease than any other we possess. The profession are in

From A. J. French, M. D., tm eminent physician of Law

" I)R. AYEK My dear Sir : I have found your SARSA

that were too obstinate to yield to other remedies. Ido

Mr. Cftafc lint j.mv, t/Xar Mrwumfdf, .V. ./..had

there arc few that do not, when its effect is properly aided
by local treatment."

IRON IN THE BLOOD.
It is well known to the medical profession that
IRON is the Vital Principle oi Life Element of the
blood. This is derived chiefly from the food we
eat •, hot if the food is not properly digested, or if,
from any cause whatever, the necessary quantity oi
iron is not taken into the circulation, or becomes
reduced, the whole system suffers. The bad blood
will irritate the heart, will clog up the lungs, will
stupefy the brain, will obstruct the liver, and will
send its disease-producing elements to all parts of
the system, and every one will sutler in whatever
organ may be predisposed to disease.
The great value of
Iroia'asra Medici a e
is well known and acknowledged by all medical men.
The difficulty has been to obtain such a preparation
of it as will enter the circulation and assimilate at
once with the blood. This point, says Dr. Hayes,
Massachusetts State Chemist, has been attained in
the Peruvian Syrup, by combination in away be
fore unknown.

CELEBRATED HORSE AND CATTLE
I' 0 W I IK I! S.
rPHESE Powders have proved after a trial of
i several years, to be superior to an}' prep
araJion oi the kind in use. The chief sti peri -
oriiy ol these powders arises from the fact
that they are composed of medicines that have
Laxative, Tonic and Purifying properties
The laxative ejects crudities from the stomach
and intestines, the tonic gives strength to the
of the Horse, and the purifying medi-2
•ageines contained in them cleanse the blood, and
££lay the foundation for a vigorous and
J he use of them improves the
wind, strengthens the appetite and gives the
horse a fine, smooth and glossv skin—thus im
proving the appearance, vig'oi and spirit of
this noble animal.
These powdeis are not intended, as most
powders are, to bloat the animal, so as to give
him the appearance of being fat when not re
ally so—but, to remove the disease and pro
mote his genera! health.
These powders will strengthen the stom
ach and intestines, cleanse them from offen
sive matter, and bring them to a healthy
state. They are a sure prevention of Lung
Fever, and a certain remedy for all diseases
incident to the Horse, as Glanders, Yellow
Water, Distempers, Founder, Heaves, Slav
er'.n 8> Coughs, Fevers, Loss of Appetite, and
Vital Energy, kc.—These Powders, if used
two or three times a week, through the win
tev and spring, your horse will never get the
Lung Fever, Colic or Botts. A few doses of
these powders will remove the worst cough, H
H on any horse. Were owners of horses'to '""3

MILCH COWS.
The pi .perties this powder possesses in in
creasing the quantity of milk in cows, gives
it an importance and value which should
place it in the hands of every person keep
ing a cow. Jn fattening cattle, it gives them
an appetite, loosens their hide, and makes
them thrive much faster. "
S= HOGS. S;
C In all diseases of swine, as coughs, ulceis c/ 2
in 'he lungs and liver, kc., by putting from P3
• half a paper to a paper of these powders in 0/3
a barrel of swill, the above diseases can be
cured or entirely prevented. By using these
powders the hog cholera can be prevented.
