1 have known Hoofiatid's German Hitters favora

own family, and have been so pleased with their ef
fects that 1 was induced to recommend them to ma

strikingly beneficial manner. 1 take pleasure in
thus publicly proclaiming this fact, and calling the
attention of those atilicted with the diseases lor
which they are recommended, to these Bitters, know
ing from txperience that my recommendation will
be sustained. Ido this more cheerfully a3 Hoof

Although not disposed to favor or recommend Pat

ingredients and effects, 1 yet know of no sufficient
teasons wh> a man may not testily to the benefits
ho believes himself to have received from any sim
ple preparation, in the hope that he may tnus con
tribute to the benefit of others.
I do th:s the mere readily in regard to Hoiflana's
German Kilters, prepaid by Dr. C. M. Jackson, of
this city, because I was pr judtced against them for
many yeais, under the impression that they were
chiefly an alcoholic mixture. lam indebted to my
friend, Robert Shoemaker, Esq., for the removal of
this prejudice by pioper tests, and for encourage
ment to try them, wheu suffering from great and
long continued debility. The use of three bottles
of these bitters at the beginning of the present year,
was followed by evident relief and restoration to a
degree of bodiiy and mectai vigor which I had not
felt tor six moi.ths before, and bad almost despaired
of regaining. 1 therefore thank God and my Irtend
tor directing me to the use of them.

I)r. Jackson : —Dear Sir:—l have bepn frequently ;
requested to connect my name with commendations 1
of different kinds of medicines, but regarding the 1
practice as out of my appropriate sphere, I hive in
all cases declined; but with a clear proof in various ]
instances, and particularly in my family, ol the use
fulness ot Dr. rloofland's German Btiters, 1 depart
for once from my usual course, to exptess my lull
conviction that, for general debility of the system
and especially fjr Liver Complaint, 11 is a safe and
valuable preparation. In some cases it may fail
but usually, 1 doubt not, it will be very beneficial
to those who suffer from the above cause.
Yours, very respectfully, J. H. KENNARD.
