It is herpby enacted by the uuthoiity of the Burgess and Town (Council ol the Borough of Bfdlotd, That after the 23d day ol November, ISO 3, every load of wood sold in said borough, to any cit izen of said borough, shall first be inspected and measured, by a measurer, or inspector w ho shall be appointed lor that ,impose by the Burgessaud Coun cil ; and the .-aid measurer or inspector shall receive from the seilir of each load so measured—if the quantity meted three-fourths of a cord—the sum of fifteen cents; if less than llitee iouribs ol u cord, then ten cents for each load ineasuied and inspected by him.
