HOLLONA) S PILL* AND OINONENT.
All who have friends and relatives in the army
or navy, should lake especial care, that they be am
ply supplied with these Pills and Ointment; and
where the brave soldiers and sailors liavc neglected
to provide themselves with ttiem, no better present
•an be sent them by their friends. Tliey have been
proved to be the soldier's never-failing Iriend in the
hour of need.
Covglis and Colds Affecting Trobps,
Will be speedily relieved and effectually cured by
using these udnurubte medicines, anil by paying pro
per attention *o the directions which are attached
to each pot or box.
SILL Headache nnd Want of Appetite, Inciden
tal to Soldiers,
Those feelings which so sadden us, usually arise
Horn trouble or annoyances, obstructed per-piro
-11011, or eating and drinking whatever is unwhole
some, thus disturbing the healthful action of the
ever and stomach. These organs must be reliev
ed, if you desire to be well. The pills, taking ac
cording to the printed instructions, will quickly
produce a healthy notion in bnt'i liver ami stomach,
at.d as a natural consequence a clcai head and good
appetite.
Weakness or Debility induced by over Fatigue,
Will soon disappear by the u:-e of these invaluable
pills, and the soldier wilt quickly acquire additional
strength. Never let the bowels be either confined
or unduly acted upon It may seem strange that
Holloway's Pills should be recommended for Dys
entery and Flux, many persons supposing that they
would increase the rolaxation. This is a great mis
lake, tor these pills will correct Hie livei and stom
ach and thus remove all the acrid humors from the
system. This medicine will give tone and vigor to
the whole organic system however deranged, while
health and strength follow ns a matter of course.
Nothing will .top the relaxation of the bowels so
sure as this famous medicine.
I' oluntecrs Attention ! Indiscretions oj Youth
Sores and ulcers, blotches and swellings, can with
certainty be radically cured if the pills are taken
night and morning, and the ointment be freely used
us staled in the printed instiuctioiis. If treated in
any other manner they dry up in one part to break
out in another. Whereas this ointment will remove
the humors from the system nnu leave the patient
a vigorous and healthy man. It will require a lit
tle perseverance in Dad eases to insure a lasting
cure.
For Wounds either occasioned by the B tyonet,
Sabre or the Bullet, Sores or Bruises,
To which every soldier and sailor are liable, there
are no medicines so safe, sure and convenient as
h olloway's Pills and Ointment. The poor wounded
and almost dying sp/lerer might have his wounds
dressed immediately, if he would oniy provide him
self with this matchless Ointment, which should
be thrust into the wound and smeared all round it,
then covered with a piece of linen from his knap
sack and compressed with a handkerchief. Taking
night and morning C or 8 pills, to cool the system
and prevent inflammation.
Every soldier's knapsack and seaman's chest
should be provided with these valuable remedies.
CAUTION. — None arc genuine unless the
words "HOLLOWAY, NEW YORK AND LONDON," are
discernible as a Water-marl in every leaf of the
book of directions around earh pot or hox ; the
* saire may be plainly seen by hulling ,he hif to the
light. A handsome reward will be giveu to any one
reudering such information as may lead to the de.
tectiou of any party or parties counterfeiting the
medicines or vending the same, knowing tbem to he
spurious.
