HOLLOW AY'S PILLS AND OINTMENT
All who have Friends and Relatives in the Army
or Navy, should take especial care, that they be am
ply supplied with these Pills and Ointment ; and
where the brave Soldiers and Sailors have neglected
to provide themselves with them, no better present
can be sent them by their friends. They have been
proved to be the Soldier's never-failing friend in the
hour of need.
Coughs and Colds nffi cling Troops,
Will be speedily relieved apd effectually cured by
using these admirable medicines, and by paying pro
pVr attention to the dirtctions which are attached to
each Pot or Box.
Sick Ilcndache and Want of Jlppelile, fnciden.
till to Soldiers.
Those feelings which so sadden u, usually nri-e
from trouble or annoyances, obstructed perspiration,
or eattrg and drinking whatever is unwholesome,
thus distillbing the healthful action ol the liver and
stomach. These organs must be relieved, it you
desire to be well. The Pills, taking according to
the printed instructions, will quickly produce a
neal'hy action in both liver and stomach, and as a
haturai consequence a clear head and good appetite.
Weakness or Debility Induced by over Fatigue.
Will soon disappear by the use of these invalin
ble Pills, and the Soldiei will quickly acquire addi
tional strength. Never let the Bowels he either
confined or unduly acted upon. It may seem strange
that Hollo way's Pills should he recommended for
Dysentery and Flux, many persons supposing that
they would increase the relaxation. This is a great
mistake, for these Pills will correct the liver and
stomach and thus remove all the acrid humors from
the system. This medicine will give tone and vig
or to the whole organic system however deranged,
while health 'and strength follow as a matter ol
course. Nothing will stop the relaxation ol the
Bowels so sure as this famous medicine.
Volunteers Attention ! Indiscretions of Youth
Soren ard Ulcers, Blotches and SwpJlmgs, can
with certainty be radically cured if the Pills are ta
ken night and morning, and the Ointment be Ireely
used as stated in the printed instructions. If treat
ed in any other manner they dry up in one part to
break out in another. Vfhereas this Ointment will
remove the humors from the system and leave the
Patient a vigorous and healthy man. It will require
a little perseverance in bad cases to i sure a lasting
cure.
For Wounds either occasioned by the
Sabre or the Bullet, Sores or Bruises.
To which every Soldier and Sailor are liable, there
are no medicines so safe, sure and convenient as
llollcway's Pills and Ointment. The poo r wounded
and almost dying sufferer miuht have his wounds
dressed immediately, it' he would only provide him
self with tnis matchless Ointment, which should be
thrust into the wound and smeared all round it, then
covered with a piece of linen from hisknaosack and
compressed with a handkerchief. Taking night and
morning 6 or 8 Pills, to cool the system and prevent
inflammation.
Every Soldier's Knapsack and Seaman's Chets
should be provided with these valuable Remedies.
CAUTICN.-None are genuine unless the
words "HOELOWAY, NKNVYORK AND LONDON," are dis
cernible as a Watcr'inark in every leal of the book
of directions aiound each pot or box ; the same may
