We know of rc invention of modern times that
deserves or is de.-tined to occupy a higher niche in

of The Vegetable Epileptic P.lis for curing Epilepsy

modifications of Nervous Disease. Dr. Sirh S.

intended them solely for Fits, Cramps and Spasms ;

' Have hail the surest demonstration in the following
certificate that their manufacture of Salamander
Safes has at length fully warranted the representa
tions which have been made of them as rendering
an undoubted security agaiust the terrific element :
Philadelphia, April 12th, ISSG.
Messrs. EVANS & WATSON, —Gentlemen,—lt affords
u? the highest satisfaction to state to you, that
owing tn the very protective qualities of two of the
Salamander Safes which we purchased of you some
few months since, we saved a large portion of our
i jewelry, and all our books, papers, &c., exposed to
Ihe calamitous fire in Ranstead Place, on the rnor-
I ning of the 11th instant.
When we reflect that these Safes were located
; in the fourth story of the building we occupied, and
; that they fell subsequently into a heap of burning
ruins, where the vast concentration of heat caused
the brass platPs to melt, we cannot but regard the
preservation of their valuable contents as most
j convincing proof of the great security afforded by
your Safes.
We shail take much pleasure in recommendirg
them to men of business as a sure reliance against
fire.

has induced the proprietors,
