CAST-IROX CARRIAGE HUB.

and that it only nee<! to be examined, and its mer

: doption. Jndee.i it is no longer an experiment, it
| having been effect natty tried bv the best judge* iti
our country, and pronounced one of the
Greatest Improvements of the Age!
Several vehicles have been in use over two years
with the Improved Hub attached, and the wheels
are still a= perfect as when they Je't the ship, the
unavoidable wear excepted.
This is the only Cast Iron Huh ever invented sui
table for light wheels.
This imprevernent is of such a nature that one cr
more spokes may betaken out changed or r rptaced
without disturbing the other portion of the wheel.
Where a wood htibi- used, if a spoke happens to be
come, broken, it is necessary to cot tie tire and se
parate the feiioes, to get a! the damaged part. The
wheel trust be then reconiposed, the tire rewelded
and re-et. AM th : involves a cosiderable expense
and loss of tirre.
In the present Improvement tins Inner ends of the
spokes are secured in an Iron Hub, which consist'
mainly ot t vo shells listened together with screws.
By simply unscrewing the nuts and taking off the
. back shell, any one o: the spokes may be removed
or chaiig-d, and the hub again put together, leaving
the wheel as solid ari l firm as ever, ali

This mejhod of constructing iron Hub Wheels
gives tbera uuuoual strength,

to the Restorative, a few weeks since:
Dkei JRIVF.b, COS., July 23, 5 853.
j Mr. Levenworth—Sir: i have been troubled with
i dandruff or scurf on my head for more than a vear,
my hair began to come out, scurf and hair together,
1 saw in a New Haven paper about "Wood's Hair
Restorative" as a cure. 1 culled at yonr store on the
•st of April last, and purchased one bottle to try it,
and 1 found to my satisfaction it was ths thing, it re
moved the scurf and new hair began to grow; it is
! now two or three inches in length where it was alt
off. I have great faith in it. 1 wish you to send ine
two bottles more by Mr. Post, the bearer of this.—
I don't know as any of the kind is used in this
place, you may have a market for many bottles after
it is known here. Yours with ;pspcct,

P ULA.. Sept.. 9, 18.37.
Trof. Wood—Dear Sir: Your Hair Restorative is
; proving itself beneficial to me. The front, and also
the back part of my head almost lost its covering—in
fact had. 1 have used but two half pint bottles ot
your Restorative, and now the top of my head is we!
j studded with a promising crop of young hair, and thl
front is al-o receiving its benefit, ihave tried other
preparations without any benefit whatever. 1 think
| from my own per-ona! recommendation 1 can induce

that I have used it and known others to u=e it—that
il have, for several y ears, been in the babit of using,
other Hair Restoratives, and that 1 find yours vastly
I super ior to any other 1 know. It entirely cleanses
the head of dandruff, and with one month's proper
use will restore any person's hair to the original
