Steps and Plat firm in front of the Court House, i
the steps are to run down at the North and:
South ends of the platform.
The whole length of stone work at the bot- ; t
torn or lower step will be 3+ feet long and j
5 feet high in front above ground, except what j
will he taken off by each step. The length of!
the platform will be 19 leet 9 inches loug and j
10 leet 6 inches wide—there will be 8 steps at ,
each end—each will he 10 feet 6 inches long j ,
—steps I loot wide and rises 7i inches high j ,
(exposed)—to lap 6 inches and dress 18 by 7k j
inches where the steps extend over the main
wall in front—the other stone work to range (
with the steps. The stones forming the i ,
platform with coping included will he 7i inch. (
thick where exposed at the front. The coping ,
and steps \\ ill extend 3 inches over the main (
work in front. All stones to he perfectly sound, i j
particularly the steps' front face of wall and j t
platform, to be built up solid from front wall to |
the house. The stones on the platform to range j
with the top step and coping—to be of dressed :
lime or sand stone—built on a good solid foun- J
dation, underground, not less than 2 feet deep j

The steps, stones and bricks now forming the j
steps are reserved, but the contractor is to re- ; j
move them.
Bidders will slate how much per foot, or how j
much for the whole, and, to furnish all the ma- I

At a meeting of the Directors of the Poor
and House of Employment of Bedford county,
March G, 1855, the following resolutions were
unanimously passed by said Board:
Resolved, That we do hereby appoint Dr. F.
j C. REAMER Physician to the Poor and House
! of Employment of Bedford county for one year
| from this date.
Resolved, That said Dr. F. C. Reamer be and
jhe is herebv required to attend all paupers
i within six miles of the Borough of Bedford, and
j that for his services in attending the Poor House
j and Paupers within six miles of said Borough,
we do hereby agree to pay hiin the sum ot one
j hundred dollars per annum.
j Resolved, That notice he published in the se
■ veral papers of the Borough of Bedford that Dr.
i F. C. Reamer has been appointed Physian as a
i foresaid, and that we will pay no bills for servi
j ces rendered bv Physicians to Paupers when
the services of Physician to the Poor House
