Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff is happy about the out come. “I am pleased with the final budget for the Department of Ag riculture. We have been allocated more than $2lO million to im prove and develop our programs m an effort to support the agri culture community. Included m the total are federal monies in the amount of $27,403,000.” Wolff said. Highlights of the 2003-04 agri cutlure budget include an addi tional $1 million to supplement essential crop insurance pro grams, Penn State Cooperative Extension funding restored to last year’s funding levels, $1 mil lion to be transferred from the department s farm operations ac count to the State Farm Show Products Show Fund, and the in crease in plum pox virus pro grams of $788,000 for a total of $1 million for the year.
