Compared to last Thursday, slaughter steers
sold mostly steady, with high Choice and Prime
cattle showing some weakness The quality of
the cattle was average with the areas fancier
reputation cattle continuing to be hard to find
Buyer attendance was very good after the
Thanksgiving Holiday though the numbers
were light with a little over 200 head to choose
from Slaughter cows sold mostly steady on a
light post holiday run, while bulls were scarce
The supply included 203 head of slaughter
steers, 45 head of slaughter heifers, 220 head of
slaughter cows, 15 head of slaughter bulls, with
238 head of feeder cattle
