schedules, the only exception was a fairly light
Monday run as area hunters partook in opening
day of deer season The western direct feed
yards have held onto steady this week despite a
lower futures market I ive sales are reported
from 100 00-102 00, with dressed puces in Ne
braska from 160 00-162 00 The spot December
live cattle contract closed at 97 05 on Thursday,
with January at 93 75 The boxed beef market
has also trended lower the past few davs
C hoice cutout values were from around 156 GO
-159 00 The slaughter Holstein steer, and
slaughter heifer runs were light this week, with
the onlv real test of I lolstuns coming on Mon
day when high Choice and Prime cattle sold for
as much as 106 00 Slaughter cows sold steadv
to 3 50 lower for the week, with a very good run
on Thursday that included nearly 760 head
