Northern markets lightly tested with few sales 5.00-9.00 lower. Packer demand moderate as margins have dwin dled. Boxed beef prices sliding this week as we head into the holidays and the seasonal demand for beef usually declines. Feedlots continue to hold their positions as supplies remain tight. Boxed beef values Fri day morning averaged 155.70 down 4.30 from I ast Friday. Sales of slaughter cattle on a national basis for negotiated cash trades continue very light thru 10:00 am. Friday morning totaling 69,400 head. Last week’s frill count was 195,775 head.
