Compared to last week, feeder steers were
1.00-4.00 lower. Heifers were firm to 1.00 high
er. Demand and trading activity were moderate.
Buyers in some areas were concerned about fin
ishing their grain harvests and did not actively
market their cattle last week. Confirmed sales
about 34% beef type steers, 62% heifers and 4%
Holstein steers. Approximately BS% of the cattle
marketed this week weighed over 600 lbs. Con
firmed sales 1300 this week, 1600 last week and
1200 last year.
