Calf demand continues good. Quality of calves average, however flesh conditions are im proved for buyers as pasture conditions deterio rate with minor frost. Few feeder steers and heifers steady. Demand for feeder cattle re mains good. Numbers of market ready cattle continue to move out of feedlots at or ahead of schedule. This combined with the very limited supplies of feeder cattle has held a good level of demand for feeders. Receipts this week 8425; last week 11,720; last year 16,286. Supply consisted of 38% year lings and many calves over 600 lbs; 58% calves; 4% cows & bulls. Heifers comprised 42% of feeder & calf supply. Prices follow with weighted average weight and price in parenthesis.
