Now the heifers and cows r^-rower^ Markete .*■l will have plenty of feed this win ter. The ground is too wet but I’ve been digging my flower bulbs anyway as the frost has killed them. This fall I am leaving many in the ground as I have too many cannas, elephant ears, and gladiolas. I took most of the Pe ruvian and Aztex lilies out of the ground. We have lots of quinces but as they were not sprayed they are difficult to pare and use. Al though as the flavor is unusual, I peel some of them for eating on cereal. But, now they play volleyball and take swim ming lessons. These activities keep the parents very busy too as they drive them to their games. Also, we were instructed to make notes to remind ourselves of appointments. We should get at least six and one-half hours sleep, take vitamins, and eat nuts. Peanuts, almonds, and wal nuts were recommended. I sup pose that people will choose which of these things they enjoy doing.
