Trade sentiment was mixed, but overall no
better than steady. Retail demand was light to
moderate with few features, and fast food was
moderate, at times better for fast food. Supplies
of all sizes were at least sufficient for trade
needs. In the parts structure, trading was light
to fair. Wings were adequate to close and mov
ing well, dark meat was available, and
breast items were more than sufficient
with limited interest. In production areas,
live supplies were moderate at weights in
a full range.
The 12-City Weighted Average Price
for 10/27/03 was 64.04, compared to 63.82
last week, and 52.93 a year ago.
