DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS. The
market tone on 8-16 lb hens and 16-24 lb toms
was fully steady, instances firm, with lighter
weight hens in the best position. Trading was
light. Inquiry was mixed light to moderate. Of
ferings were light. Bulk parts and meats trading
was slow. Demand was light to moderate. The
market tone was steady to fully steady with hen
parts steady to firm.

Prices were higher on all sizes in New York
and Chicago. The market tone was fully steady
to firm. Demand was light to good, best where
features were a factor. Supplies were sufficient
to close for the larger sizes and in close balance
to very tight for the lighter weights. Breaking
stock offerings were sufficient to tight for the
moderate to good demand. Light type hens were
at least adequate to fully adequate for the fair to
moderate demand.
