Compared to last week, feeder cattle were mostly 1.00-2.00 higher Holstein steers were unevenly steady. Demand was moderate but the continuing grain harvest season slowed trading to a standstill in some areas. The strongest de mand is for yearling cattle but they ate be coming increasingly harder to find. The sharply higher slaughter cattle market and stronger futures prices supported feeder cat tle prices early in the week. Confirmed sales about 36% beef type steers, 39% heifers and 25% Holstein steers. Approximately 86% of the cattle marketed this week weighed over 600 lb.
