compared to a week earlier. Demand was fair at
best. Trading was mostly light. Offerings were
adequate for trade needs. The undertone was
steady.

moderate to fairly good demand. Light type
hens were at least sufficient for current process
ing schedules.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS: The
market tone on 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms
was fully steady, instances firm. Trading was
light with moat sales for prompt shipment for
both private and packer label hens and toms.
Demand was light to moderate. Offerings mixed
and range from adequate to barely adequate.
Bulk parts and meats trading was slow, reduced
by availability of product. Demand was light to
moderate. Some resistances noted to the higher
prices.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS:!rading
was slow, limited sales centered on thigh meat.
Demand was fair, with some resistance to cur
rent price levels noted. Trade sentiment remains
firm. Offerings continue to be limited.

Trade sentiment was irregular, but overall
steady at best. Demand covered the full range,
but was mostly moderate at best. Supplies of all
sizes were more than sufficient to easily handle
trade needs. In the parts structure, trading was
light and usually limited to regular commit
ments. Breast items were at least adequate to
ample and discounted considerably to help
move. Dark meat was available, and wings were
in good balance to close, often tight for larger
cuts. In production areas, live supplies were
moderate at weights in a lull range, bu* mostly
desirable.
