Clydesdale Gelding Named Supreme Draft Horse
HARRISBURG (Dauphin
Co.) A Clydesdale gelding took
home the supreme champion
draft horse honor over four other
draft horse breed champions dur
ing the recent Keystone Interna
tional Livestock Exposition
(KILE) at the Farm Show Com
plex in Harrisburg.
Owned by Ron and Wy Rob
ertson of Spring Hollow Farms in
Plainfield, 111, the Clydesdale,
Amberglo Precious Moment, was
bom on January 17, 2002 to
Grandview Sir Honze (sire) and
Hughes Liveo Se (dam). The
Robertsons also exhibited two
other Clydesdales during the
show.
Three other draft horse cham
pions from the Shire, Belgian,
and Percheron shows competed
for the title of supreme champi
on. They include;
• Belgian: Upstream Maver
ick, owned by Rieckert & Harley
SC Dean, Tecumseh, Mich, and
exhibited by Country Pride of
Watertown, Wis.
• Shire: Caerberllan Diamond
owned by Tom Taylor of Lisle,
N.Y.
• Percheron; Greg Lurvey of
Oconomowoc, Wis. owned the
Percheron.
