New Holland Special
Feeder Cattle Sale
New Holland, Pa.
September 29,2002
Report Supplied By USDA
NEW HOLLAND SALES STABLES SPE
CIAL FEEDER CATTLE AUCTION Total
head 1,000 est; 480 reported. The New Holland
Sales Stables held a special feeder cattle sale on
September 26 that included nearly 1000 head of
cattle A very good crowd was on hand as bid
ding was fairly active throughout the majority
of the run. 1 he supply was mixed, but included
a couple nice consignments of Holstein feeders
A large (300 head) shipment of Holstein steers
came out of Maryland weighing from 500-1050
lbs, and drew good attention as they were pre
conditioned. Another 60 head came out of
Maine, which were not pre-vaccinated, but still
sold very well. All-in-all, the run sold well; with
Holstein steer prices fairly competitive with the
surrounding states. The next New Holland feed
er cattle special is going to be held on Friday,
Oct. 31, to begin at 6KX) pm.
