MERCERSBURG (Franklin
Co.) The Franklin County 4-H
Baby Beef Club conducted its an
nual Junior Market Steer and
Heifer Show, Aug. 19, at the
Franklin Co. Fair. There were 21
exhibitors competing.
Micah Hawbaker of Mer
cersburg was chosen as the grand
champion shower. He also exhibi
ted the grand champion steer in
the 4-H division.
Kevin Stahl of Mercersburg ex
hibited the reserve grand champi
on steer in the 4-H division and
the grand champion steer in the
open division.
Kevin is enrolled at Penn State
University and planning to at
tend veterinarian school. Micah
is studying physical education at
Slippery Rock University.
Kristina Dice of Chambers
burg exhibited the reserve grand
champion steer in the open divi
sion. She is a 10th grader at
Chambersburg High School.
There were 5 heifers exhibited
in the heifer show. Jaclyn Upper
man of Chambersburg exhibited
the grand champion heifer; and
Kristina Dice of Chambersburg,
the reserve grand champion heif
er. Jaclyn is a 10th grader at
James Buchanan High School
