Berks Annual Roundup (Continued from Page A 22) Cathryn (Cathy to friends) wants to return as a leader someday, to “be there to share what I have learned.” Cathy, a 2002 graduate of Tulpehocken High School, is taking general business classes at Reading Area Commu nity College, and hopes to attend Penn State to major in ag business. Cathy said “the best things about (involvement in 4-H) are all the friends and family I have had. Our leaders real ly helped me.” Cathy said that she began showing at Reading Fair when she was 8 years old, with all three species sheep, hogs, and cattle. Kristy Dietrich, also a Tulpehocken High School grad uate and a freshman at Penn State in animal science, began showing at Kutztown when she was 10, according to her sister, Kelly. Kelly noted her sister would be show ing at Farm Show. Kristy exhibited a homebred crossbred steer at the roundup. The same steer won champion at Kutztown, Oley, Reading, and Allentown fairs. About 100 bidders were signed up at the start of the sale late last week. Here are photo results of the sale. Ephrala National Bank Big enough to serve you. Small enough to know you!
