A3O-I_ancaster Farming, Saturday, September 27, 2003 All-American Names Junior Dairy Show Winners Myers Family Youth Lead Top Cows In First Red And White Show DAVE LEFEVER Lancaster Farming Staff HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) Three judges had a full day of work judging seven breeds of dairy cattle ex hibited by youth from all over the state during the Penn sylvania Junior Dairy Show at the All-American. For the first time ever, the All-American included its own separate shows for the Red and White breed, includ ing one at the Junior Dairy Show on Monday. Sisters Brittany and Mylie Myers of Shirleysburg, Huntingdon County, went home with grand champion and reserve honors, respectively, in the Red and White show. Brittany, 17, and Mylie, 10, are members of the Shirley Variety Pak 4-H Club. Their parents are Deb and Doug Myers of Myers Family Dairy, Inc. Four-year-old Myerose Fantast Mystic Red was the grand champion Red and White, led by Brittany Myers. Andy Stoner of Waynesboro, Franklin County, exhibi ted the grand champion Holstein, 4-year-old Bell-Stone Jubal Penny-TW. In the Ayrshire show, Shanda Pheasant of Williams burg, Blair County, led 4-year-old Plum-Bottom Hope Vema to the grand champion spot. The Brown Swiss grand champion was 4-year-old Meadow Hill Sensation Alex, shown by Anthony Mase of Cochranton, Crawford County. Kendy Gable of New Enterprise, Bedford County, showed the top Guernsey, 4-year-old Sniders Perfect Brenden. In the Jersey show, Autumn Reichard of Chambers burg, Franklin County, exhibited grand champion Reich- Dale GC Sequence-ET, a junior 2-year-old. Dylan Pheasant of Williamsburg led Tudor Hall Forty niner Rosy, a junior-2-year-old to the grand champion spot in the Milking Shorthorn show. Judges for the show were David Jones of Yale, Okla., for the Ayrshires, Milking Shorthorns, and Jerseys; Jeff Ziegler of Plain City, Ohio, for the Red and Whites, Brown Swiss, and Guernseys; and Brian Behnke of Brooklyn, Wis., Holsteins.
