NATIONAL YOUNG TURKEY PARTS
AND BULK MEAT, Frozen, unless specified,
cents per lb, delivered first receivers, part and
full trucklots, as of Sept. 17. The undertone on
fresh tom breast meat was steady to about
steady and fresh destrapped tenderloins mostly
steady Spot pemiums were noted on parts loads
of fresh tom breast meat and destrapped ten
derloins due to freight considerations. Demand
slow to moderate. Offerings were mixed with
spot availability noted for both prompt and de
ferred shipments. The bulk parts, thigh meat
and mechanically separated turkey undertone
continued steady to firm with supplies generally
held with confidence. Demand moderate. Inter
est for fresh hen drums went unfilled. Domestic
trading was hght and centered on frozen de
strapped tenderloins with -6 months age, fresh
tom breast pleat and tom bulk parts. Export
trading light and centered on bulk parts. Some
companies in the East continued to prepare for
landfall of Hurricane Isabel with some compa
nies closing Thursday due to the storm.
