Report Supplied By USDA
Receipts: SS9 Last Week: 697 Last Yean 31S
Compared to last Monday, barrows and gilts
sold mostly S.OO-7.00 higher. Prices have
dropped sharply over the past couple of weeks,
but have begun to rebound somewhat both lo
cally, and across the U.S. With the price of beef
skyrocketing, there should be several compet
itive proteins (especially pork and chicken) that
may start to entice consumers; which in turn
could strengthen the price of white meat.
