mand very good for feeder cattle. De

the field sowing wheat. It is unusual for
calf demand to be strong when field oper
ations are in lull swing.
Receipts this week 12,085; last week
1069; last year 10,665. Supply consisted of
57% yearlings and calves over 600 lbs;
36% calves; 7% cows and bulls. Heifers
comprised 42% of feeder & calf supply.

LIGHTS:
CHEDDAR CHEESE prices received
for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.58
per pound for the week ending August 30.
The price per pound increased 0.5 cents
from the previous week. The price for US
500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38 percent
moisture averaged $1.59 per pound, up
1.1 cents from the previous week.
BUTTER prices received for 25 kilo
gram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA
Grade AA standards averaged $l.lO per
pound for the week ending August 30.
The U.S. price per pound decreased 3.7
cents from the previous week.
NONFAT DRY MILK prices received
for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting
USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A
standards averaged 81.2 cents per pound
for the week ending August 30. The U.S.
price per pound increased 0.1 cent from
the previous week.
DRY WHEY prices received for bag,
