was moderate. Demand was moderate.
Live supplies were moderate for plant
needs with an estimated slaughter of
1,341,000 compared to 1,299,000 last
Tuesday. Weights were desirable. Pro
cessing schedules were moderate. Supply
of leg quarters were short while demand
was light and below average.
Negotiated F. 0.8. dock prices, 2
pounds and heavier ice-packed broilers
and fryers, trucklot sales of US Grade A
or equivalent were steady at .55 - 66 per
pound; less than trucklot sales .56 - .69
per pound.

PARTS AND BULK MEAT, Frozen, un
less specified, cents per lb, delivered first
receivers, part and full trucklots, as of
Aug. 25. The trade sentiment was fully
steady to firm on fresh tom breast meat
and fresh and frozen thigh meat. Demand
was fairly good for the limited supplies of
whole muscle meats. Tom drums and hen
and tom v-type wings were fully steady
and supplies were tight. Hen v-type wings
moved at higher trending prices for do
mestic use and tom drums were higher
into export channels.
