Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was light to fair with sellers anticipating
increased late week activity for the holi
day lengthened weekend. Offerings varied
by size, and were generally no more than
adequate on the 225 and 2.50 pound
sizes; adequate to hilly adequate on the
larger. Live supplies were moderate;
weights were desirable to heavy. Proces
sor schedules were moderate to moderate
ly heavy. Less than trucklot asking prices
were unchanged 57 to 67 cents. Trade
sentiment was mostly steady. In the parts
complex, boneless skinless and bone-in
breasts were hilly adequate. Leg items
were generally good balance. Wings and
tenders continued to clear well.
